Save our democracy by helping us create the largest voting bloc in America to change three things:
1. Limit lobbyists influence on our politicians and elections
2. Reinstate the Glass-Steagall Act
3. Overturn Citizens United
We are asking Washington to take a up or down vote, a yes or no, to change these three things. But first we need a voice through a large group of American citizens.
1. Limit lobbyists
Large corporations have bought and paid for our Congress, Senate and even our President. Lobbyists have paid millions and millions to buy their votes and have submitted laws that both help and shield corporations. Stop all corporate lobbyists for 4 years minimum so America can get Washington to work for the people, not corporations!
2. Reinstate the Glass-Steagall Act
Glass-Steagall separated commercial and investment banks, but it was repealed in 1999. Banks made high risk deals that endangered investors and consumers, but have not been held accountable for any part of the economic collapse of 2008. Reinstating Glass-Steagall will protect the American taxpayer and hold banks accountable for their decisions.
3. Overturn Citizens United
Stop the gusher of unregulated money spilling into politics. Citizens United opened the flood gates to anonymously BUY an election with no paper trail so the public is kept in the dark and know nothing about who is behind the ads.
Corporations are not people! Elections are not for sale! They are now being bought!
